Questions about Avalon Riverview North
Up to Riverview Discussion
I am interested in moving into Avalon Riverview North and was wondering if anyone could help me out with a few questions:
1. Is the turn-over rate in the apt complex high? I am looking for an August/September move-in (I have a flexible move in date...late August or early Sept), but every time I call in to the the leasing office, they tell me that there are no one bedrooms open. I am wondering if it is just a bit too early now, or if I should be worried and be looking for some alternative places to live. Does anyone know when most people give their move-out notices? The leasing office told me that it just depends, but people are required 30-days. I'm not sure most of the options would be gone if I wait until just 30 days before.
2. Does the complex usually have any specials for one-year leases?
3. Aside from Avalon Riverview North, Avalon Riverview, and East Coast, are there any other similar apt complexes in LIC?
1. I am not sure about the turn over rate in the building because it hasn't been a year since it opened. But, I do know that a lot of people moved in July, August, and September when it first opened, and many of them have 10-12 month leases. Because the early tenants got such great deals on their apartments, they are now being faced with increases upwards of 10%. Those people may decide to look elsewhere, so you should have a chance. Also, in my exerience, it is easier to find an apartment if you're move in date is within 60 days of when you're looking.
2. I don't think so.
3. People sometimes rent in Citylights, so I would look into that. Also, remember that there are two Eastcoast buildings now renting.
Good luck with your search!
