We just received a letter from the leasing office with our new rent, letting us know that our rent will increase by 20% (!!!!) for our new leasing term. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I think this is not acceptable, especially after for the first year we suffered through the building being under construction, not having a garage or bike storage and other inconveniences. We renters should not accept this.
