Those of us whom moved to Avalon Riverview in 2002 where informed that Avalonbay was building a senior citezen's facility next to the Riverview apartments(south tower?) We were also told that , in AvalonBay's benevolence, they would be building a Library on the property next to Peninsula Park.
Avalonbay( which you have shown to be very profitable) is doing neither. The front desk at Riverview said today that the "Library" property "will be a "Ranger Station". Avalonbay has nothing to do with the "Senior Citizens" facility next door. Maybe QueensWest should look at AvalonBays true intententions, especial in light of the re-positioning of their building to Citylights. People at Riverview give you a hard time about being concerned about the future of LIC. Maybe they should delve into AVB's lack of concern about this area. I love it here, and am staying. we need to realy put up a fight against CO's that are just in it for the $$$$$
