Here is my first one.
I just bought a bunch of these Baggu Reusable Shopping Bags. They are small, compact, strong and stylish. I even got the guys at E&I to fill it for me.

A nice way to not use plastic bags.

I've noticed that virtually all supermarkets with a parking lot, have a receptacle(s) specifically for placing your used plastic shopping bags, to be recycled. In addition, They also have strong large reusable cloth bags, sometimes in different colors with the store's logo, for usually 99 cents.
In an unrelated potential savings, has anyone heard of the turbonator? It claims to add about 55 Horsepower and increase gas mileage 33%...........all for $34.95 (while it's on sale). Has anyone usedf it, to confirm it's claims?

WARNING: This is NOT a political debate thread, there are plenty for that. This is for people (like me) who want to share information on trying to make small changes in their life to reduce their environmental impact.

An expandable mesh net similar to this one http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/BK4K-0702003.html was used in Europe over 40 years ago when giving out bags for groceries was unheard of. Most people had to shop daily and walk home - just like NYC.
I noticed that Shop&Stop offers 5 cents a bag discount for by bringing your own bags. Any reduction in the thin "plastic kites" blowing everywhere would be a great help in both Greening and appearance.

Hi Charlie,
I'm originally from Detroit and worked with the automotive industry all my working
life. Products like these came out every time we have a sharp Gas price
increase or shortage. These, including the Turbonator, are just a few: http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48090In the 1970s you could still tinker with an engine, not after turbos, EPA equipment and computers were added.
Don't waste your money,

Thanks larryd. I noticed that the listed items in the link you posted, did not contain liquid additives. What about them?
Here's one caleed Ethos: http://www.simplegassolution.com/index.html Let me know what you think of this and others like it. I'm sure you'd be doing a service to those who are not the greatest of car enthusiasts, and/or whom posseses extensive automotive knowledge.
Although there are times where testimonials for a product or service have their place, but I think them mostly indicative of false advertising, inflated capabilities, and scams.
