   Yea rivu412; talk about hoof in mouth disease!  Remember Dan Quale's dodo statement, after returning from a trip through many of the countries in Central & South America?  He said that he should have learned some Latin, before going on his trip to Latin America.  That pales, in comparison to Palin.  I was surprised at the amount of time devoted to an opening sketch.  It was almost 12 minutes.  That just goes to show how important words, attitude and demeanor are, in a Presidential election.    

   You are right about Queen Latifah.  She is incredibly talented.  Having no background in comedy; I would think that with just a little work, she could fit in with any comedy troupe.   Have you ever heard her sing?  She has a beautiful voice, especially suited for Jazz and Jazz - Blues.

   Something I saw on Jay Leno's show last night, seemed like it should be a skit on SNL's "Weekend Update".  Jay was doing his "headlines" routine, and showed an article about a Ft. Worth, Texas company which was testing a new shortening & lard alternative.  The article basically said that the company had conducted dietary testing of the product on hamsters, gerbils, monkeys, and 29 Catholic Nuns.  You just can't make this stuff up.
