Richard Shiu, who is moving to Hunters View — One Hunters Point’s sister building on 11th Street — sees significant room for expansion in the neighborhood’s commercial sector. He agrees that more young people are setting down roots in the neighborhood, and expects development to pick up even more with the addition of commercial amenities. And despite some of the difficulties that may come with that change, Shiu, a real-estate developer who has a four-year-old daughter and a one-year-old son, thinks the future of the neighborhood “is pretty bright.”
