Living in the Lap of Luxury, Unfortunately
Up to Neighborhood Discussion
Yeah, I'm looking to buy, not rent, and am aiming for about the $300,000 range. The folks at Crest Haven are great, they just told me there's nothing out there like what I'm looking for. Which I found hard to believe.
If you're not set on LIC/Hunters Point proper then you might be able to find something in Astoria or Sunnyside. Both have newer condos that are not luxury level and older coops that are reasonably priced. I do think Crest Haven is right that nothing exists in LIC. There are very few row homes, and those that exist are not set up as condos. I guess it is somewhat common in Brooklyn now for a developer to buy an old row home and partition it into condos but I've seen nothing like that in LIC, only (and very rarely), the full buildings for sale.
