The take out section at SHI - the new restaurant on the waterfront in the first East Coast building right next to Blue Streak Wines has opened their take out section - and the main restaurant is opening very soon.  Here is the link where you can download the take out menu.  The restaurant will have outdoor dining - unlike any other in LIC - right next to the park land on the waterfront - expecting this to be a new LIC favorite dining spot the second it opens!!

Ordered from SHI (they prounounce it "she" ) last night.  Excellent!  Had a simple wok stir fry of shrimp w/ snap peas & carrots - shrimp very fresh - vegggies nice and crunchy. 

I walked by with the misses last night to pick up a take out menu and innocently peered through the window of the actual restaurant.  The owner was watching us and could tell that we were pretty impressed by what we saw.  He asked if we noticed the fireplace and offered to show us the inside of the restaurant.  He was so excited to show the place off to locals....and let me assure you it was with good reason.  The place is absolutely beautiful.  The trendy lounge area with gorgeous fireplace...the recessed plasma that only shows its face when there's a big game...the sexy bar...the DJ area and stunning indoor/outdoor seating blew us away. The place is fantastic, finally a location that I'd want to take my NYC friends to other than our skyline-view equiped apartment.

The owner couldn't have been any nicer and accomodating.  I've heard the food was great and the place is just fabulous.  I think we have a big-time winning combination.  I'll be there day one without a doubt! Color me impressed.
