Hi guys,

I'm writing an article on the bike path that will be on Vernon boulevard, it's pros and cons.
I need two locals to give their viewpoints on this. Hopefully I'll find someone who's for the bike path, and one person who's against it (it will eat up parking space, after all).

Stop in Delta Force Army Navy 49-10 Vernon Blvd I am against the bike path for several reasons most I can point out to you as the path is in front of my Queens store. I support that a bike path should be in long island city but not on Vernon Blvd with all the traffic and cars that double park all the time it just creates a hazzard.

The bike path should have been routed on 11st where no commercial stores exist,less traffic,and no double park cars. 11St is where the bike path makes sense not on Vernon Blvd in fact just last week I watched a biker almost get squashed between 2 cars 1 parked and 1 in motion.

The bike lane should be where it is on vernon. 11st has too many cars speeding by because of the double lanes, not to mention the industrial trucks. 11st is like queens blvd, the most dangerous street to ride your bike on in NYC. Double parking in the bike lane is illegal.

I am totally for the bike lane; however, as it currently exists, it is a complete joke.

I for someone to call little arrows spaced out more than 100 yards apart is a complete joke. Was there a budget for how much paint they could use or seomthing. i mean, come on! make it clear that the space is to be used for bike if you expect anyone to respect it. I wouldn't even notice the bike lane unless someone pointed it out to me.
