e&i is a deli right near the vernon and jackson subway station that is i think open 24 hours.

i was hoping the Foodcellar would have been open later than 9:30. that's disappointing.

I was very excited to see the foodcellar open, and am happy it's here, but I won't actually shop there.  It's too rediculously overpriced.  I used to live near a specialty grocery store in manhattan that I considered a luxury, but their food was amazing so I would go there for fresh fish, nice cheeses, etc.  This place is even more expensive then that.  I am truly disappointed.  Fresh Direct/Pathmark it is for me :(

I'm pretty sure it'll be only a short time until their prices come down and they start to carry more mainstream items.    Not everyone wants or can afford organic foods.

I went there the other night after work with my girlfriend to do some dinner shopping. After about 15 minutes of walking around the store and being amazed by the ridiculous prices... We walked out, with nothing in hand... And just ordered out from Mojo's. The cost of ordering out was actually in line with raw products we were going to buy.

I really, really, really, hope they get a different selection, distributor, or just lower their margins. This neighborhood is nouveau riche, if that... You can't charge Park Ave prices in Queens.
