You might want to try an air purifier. Read here for more info:

if you're living in a brand new building, it might be 'formaldehyde'?

I've been here since 2000 and in 2001 (when Avalon south was being built) started suffering from severe allergies and chemical sensitivity. By 2003 I began having painful chronic sinusitis & my allergies no longer responded to meds. In 2004 I began getting allergy shots & it has really helped control my symptoms, but the sinusitis continued to be a huge problem & I developed asthma. I have had sinus surgery twice (2005 & 2007.) After being constantly sick from 2001-2007, often spending 6 months a year or longer on antibiotics for sinusitis, I am really happy to say that I have not had sinus problems, or even a common cold, since having sinus surgery 14 months ago. However I still have asthma. Over the years I have been to so many Otolaryngologists & every single one has cited the heavy construction in the neighborhood as the likely cause of all the respiratory problems I've been having since living in LIC.
