I have not tried Bany and given all of these reviews I probably won't be going there in the near future.  I think if you want Thai, there is no reason to go any further than Tuk Tuk.  There food is consistently good and satisfying.  For sushi, I am still waiting for a place that's worth ordering from.  Lucky Mojo's is not a sushi place, and although it is edible, their sushi is subpar.  Hopefully the sushi bar opening near the vernon exit of the train or Shi will bring better sushi to the neighborhood.  Blend is good, but no bar the last time I went.  Does anyone know if you can take alcohol with you?

Tuk Tuk is OK but it certainly is not good, nor is it really Thai.  The comment "there is no reason to go any further than Tuk Tuk" is kind of ridiculous in my opinion.  If you want to taste Thai food please take the 7 a few more stops to 61st and check out Sripraphai, it is light years above Tuk Tuk and any place you will find in Manhattan or Brooklyn.  There are also several other top notch Thai places in the Jackson Heights/Elmhurst area but Sripraphai is definitely the best.

Regarding BANY, I like the sushi, rolls and sashimi there but their other pan-Asian/Thai food is pretty bland and just isn't very good. Yes, I agree that sadly even Tuk Tuk is better.

Tuk Tuk is really good. Don't think I could live without it. We enjoyed BANY but were not blown away.

The wife LOVES Lucky Mojo sushi.

I too love TukTuk - food is always fresh and delish.

I'm not sushi fan so can't comment there.

AND McReilly's burgers still the best:)

Wow, folks are super critical. BANY is not a bad food option, we went and my Fiance thought the sushi was actually really good/fresh, I had a thai dish can't remember what but it wasn't as bad as everyone is saying. Thier curry puffs were delicious and actually provide the cucumber dipping sauce Tuk Tuk leaves out. The service was attentive and really sweet. I'm just happy to have another option within our little neighborhood.
