Just an FYI that they changed the parking regs on the northwest side of 49th avenue (between Center and 5th street). Saw them towing 5 cars this morning.

They've actually changed them on 48th Avenue too recently, between 5th and Center Blvd. ...about 3 weeks or so ago. 

At least there is plenty of space in the new garages.

The garages would be nice except for the $200-$300/month! With the new lofts on 48th and 5th there will be even less parking now!

They were out there in force yesterday as well.

$200-$300 a month is pretty much the low end of parking in NYC. Realistically, owning a car in NYC is not a right, but a privilege that comes with costs. We have one of the worlds best public transportation systems that is dirt cheap (unlimited rides for $81).

I guess the complaint isn't enough parking, but enough FREE parking.
