I would get on the E train via escalator at the Citibank building, take it to Jamaica, and catch the AirTrain to your terminal. Who needs the LIE and Van Wyck traffic?

i think it's a balance where you have to ask if that's the best price they can offer, and use the comptetition's pricing as a starting point for negotiation. if a company charges a dollar or so more, but is reliable and clean, i'd pay that extra bit for peace of mind and comfort. with bliss 48, i had some youthful relatives coming into jfk/nyc for the first time, from overseas. bliss 48 was VERY accomodating in letting me know they'd wait outside customs for them, with a clear sign, and they knew the approximate timing that it takes to get from the gate thru to the sidewalk. i'd pay an extra few bucks for that kind of know-how anyday.

Hyot, was prob added based on my reccomendation. The issue with them is that you need to tell them 545am, if you want them to come at 600am. Sometimes they will come at 530 and start calling you, sometimes they will come at 600. Also since I fly out early am, sometimes I would call hyot on a Sunday around 10pm and never get in touch with a dispatcher. This would lead me to call at 4am to for a 6am pickup (which is not a good idea). Slightly dificult, but they did take CCs and kept my info on file, which saved me a good 5-10 mins once they droped me at the airport. This is key service for me.

I don't use a particular car service. It's hard to get a company that's reliable because their reliability is always based on the driver you get. I always used to use dial7 because their number is so easy to remember (212 777 7777).

Since I travel about once a week on business, I eventually asked one driver if he worked on the side outside of dial7. So I now have just 1 driver that I call. He's always prompt with pickups but doesn't work after 10pm very often. If he's busy or far away he'll be able to tell you that as well. He can also give you a price up front. The only problem I've ever had with him is understanding his indian accent, otherwise, he's perfect for my needs. If you call him, you can tell him that Kyle told you, but there's a good chance he won't know who you're talking about cause he always pronounces my name "kelly"....
