Taste of LIC
Up to Neighborhood Discussion
hello all, haven't been on this site in a while, but i went last night and was really impressed with what i saw. since i went to the 1st one at the chocolate factory, amazing to see how quickly lic has transformed and grown and my perspective is only 2 years. nice to have it outdoors as well. though it kills me that you have these amazing buildings on the water, but the roof decks always facing the wrong way, bizarre, but i guess you get more in rent or by selling that special view than the occassional trip to the roof. anyway, must say i'm really happy with living here, all the restaurants really stepped up, loved the lucky mojos ribs, think that was the highlight for me food wise, the chocolate chip cookies from sage for deserts, vine wine and hunters point, big ups for their wine choices, picked up a great item in the silent auction on the cheap, super stoked, and both my girl and my baby really loved it too. all around, fun night.
btw...was told last night that lucky mojos is now delivering to arris. i will officially end my boycott of it now. cool, this neighborhoods future looking very bright...in all directions.
Thanks to everyone for coming and for Sheila and crew for putting it together.

Great event. Being poured a kir royale right as I walked in was fantastic. Food and drink highlights for me were: mojos ribs, marios eggplant rollatini, henri crepes, tuk tuk everything, masso everything, dominie's hoek's sangria, and the beer distributors generosity in giving out full bottles.
