Anyone know what the deal is with that building next to 5SL on 48th Ave?

What was it?
Anyone buying it?

The owners were suppose to renovate and make codos but 2 yrs have passed and nothing has happened, except I've noticed a for rent sign on it.

They also bought the Corrieri Bldg. (the waste company on 5th St.) so I guess they decided to do that one first.

it's called the Zipper Factory - so maybe it was a... zipper factory. i was told that it has to be ripped down rather than converted to condos as is. This is because it's wood frame and maybe there is also some issue with the size. that would be a shame. we're not going to have any quirky old buildings left at the rate we are going. (I live in the galaxy and this was a parking lot previously so I don't have a guilty conscience)

I've been inside the zipper factory building and I really don't think it is frame. What I remember are cememt stairs, brick walls, concrete floors and hugh ceilings.

Funny thing is that they own both buildings bordering 5SL.
