We have our nice local Vernon Pharmacy; where you can fax your prescription & then have it delivered, I have tried out the other big chains & I like the Vernon Pharmacy - call them & they can get you what you need.

They are wonderfully accommodating & helpful.

Prescriptions with insurance cost the same no matter which pharmacy - but they are our local, original store.

I vote for a Krispy Kreme with a big light outside that announces when they are HOT

I hope that NONE of the things Kyle mentions come to LIC. Chain stores are so boring and impersonal. One of the nice things about LIC is that the shops are locally and independently owned. The people who run them have a personal interest and care about their customers. As for me, I'd like to see more restaurants -- Thai (which I believe is coming), sushi, and I'd really love for someone who can cook to buy Dorian's. A video store would be great, as would a copying place, book store, stationery store. all things in time.
