Civil disobediance -- the lame sort

Posted by cb at February 02. 2004
To my amazement , I saw a man with his dog in Penisula Park. He was throwing pieces of ice and the dog was going into the water to fetch them. It was sooooooo cold and the water sooooo polluted, I couldn't stand to watch. If I had the number for the ranger I would have called, if only to protect the dog from all the carcinogens and its owner.

As a dog owner it is upsetting to hear that there are such idiots out there. My dog is made for the outdoors and yet when I walk him after a few minutes in the snow and freezing water on the ground his paws begin to hurt. I have to carry him and clean them off. That person is a real dunce. Maybe the dog should have been throwing the ice and the owner should have gone into the water to fetch.

East River

Has anyone ever been to the beach in the winter? You should see the stuff that comes ashore. The East River is the cleanest it's ever been. I'm sure the dog was in no danger.

Has Hoffa shown up yet?
