ricshi, your comment seems a bit irrelevent. This is NYC, there are sirens and horns blasting throughout the day in any neighborhood, on any street, in any part of NYC. The fire station is not that close, its not next door. Its a non issue in my mind. If this were a concern for anyone, then they are not fit to live in this city.
Has anyone thought about combining on a rooftop purchase, or once the closings occur having the building close on one or two for common access? I personally didn't think I would use the roof enough to justify the full purchase price, but I wouldn't mind chipping in for some common access.
I heard that there is a possibility that if they don't sell all the rooftops, they might convert it into a common area. This would be great, but I guess the common charges would go up. I wonder how many rooftops units they have left. They're going to like 50K right?
haha..timeshare on the rooftop space, i'd be interested in that too. though i suppose it'll have to be a lottery come July 4th.
has anyone taken a look at the place recently i.e. last 2/3/4 weeks? The emails they've been sending out seem to indicate that the october closing is quite likely to happen. anyone have a take on that?
