Think I am going with another bank, Wells fargo quoted 6.875 for a 30 year, no way I am going for that.

Look into etrade.com. The last time we checked rates, 30 year fixed jumbos were the best we had found. We have friends that used etrade and they are quite happy with them.

The 6.875 is for the jumbo loan? Is that Jumbo loan more then 700K? Didn't they change the amount of what a jumbo loan is from 417K to I think 700K recently?

I actually had a very good experience with the Wells Fargo rep his name is Pat Stillitano  he explained to me the one year rate lock in detail (you are allowed to lock any product at any time if that makes sense)   I would give him a call if you are having probelms.  718-780-9118

Did he mention any fee associated with locking in a 30yr fixed-rate?
