Does anyone know the current occupancy rate of the 4705 building?

The availabilities listed on their website have not changed in weeks, so I'm assuming they are not accurate.

I'd ideally like to move to LIC in the late summer, and am wondering whether this building is likely to be fully occupied by then.

I live in 4705 and have overheard the leasing agents tell prospects that the building is "almost full" which doesn't wash with what I see - look up at the building at night and most of the units are completely dark - including entire vertical lines.  The health club is awesome - and usually there is hardly anyone in there.  So my guess is the building is no more then half leased.  Perhaps many of the units have been leased and the not yet occupied.

In any case, great building, you should consider it.

Buildings always want there to be a sense of perceived urgency and one way to create that is to say it is filling up fast or almost full.

From the look of the garage, it is filling up though and some of the apartments might be leased but not moved into yet.

If I had throw a number out there (out of my butt) I would say 64%.

I'd even say less than 64%, maybe even (dare I say) less than 50%. I can see two out of the four sides from my window, and it's definitely less than 50% occupied there.

Those buildings are having a hard time ramping up with the asking prices in this economy.

We signed our lease in early April (they told us at the time that the building was 65% *leased*), and are moving in June 1st. Some friends of ours who were looking 3 weeks later already had a lot less to choose from, and higher prices, so my guess is that as the weather got better the building started filling up faster. But that of course doesn't mean everyone has moved in yet, or that the larger, more expensive apartments are going as fast as the smaller 1brds.
