Located at 5-46 46th Avenue, Plaxall is a family business in its 5th generation. Originating in Dubuque, Iowa, we moved to LIC over 50 years ago. We’re owners, not brokers, so we only lease out space we own. We have residential and commercial properties. All our properties in NY are within walking distance of our office. We have an experienced staff devoted to property maintenance.

When we started leasing, attracting tenants could be difficult. Many tenants came reluctantly. They wanted to be in Manhattan but could not afford it. But it does not take long before people become glad they moved here. With its proximity to the East River and easy access to Manhattan, this area is more convenient to mid-town than many places in Manhattan itself. People are attracted to the strong NYC neighborhood feel that Hunters Point has preserved despite the area’s continued growth.

In addition to property maintenance, Plaxall operates a customized thermoforming factory. We also continue in Dubuque, where we run the Julien Inn, an historic hotel that counts Abraham Lincoln and Al Capone as guests of yore.
