They sell a reader/writer on the internet that allows you to add "money" to the laundry card. after you buy the unit you wash and dry for free for as long as you want.

I totally love this new system. I was so tired of carrying quarters. These cards rock! My only gripe (and it is a minor one) is that you can't add single dollars to the card. Only 5,10,20. Which is fine but sometimes I have 10-15 singles in my wallet. But overall I hope these smart-cards catch on and I get to use them elsewhere.

I agree... used them a few days ago. It made the trip, process better, faster... and with less quarters.

Of course... now I have to take my quarters to work to buy coffee! DAMN THEM ALL!! :)
