Three DOLLARS for a laundry card??

Posted by neighbor at March 07. 2002
The company that runs the laundry room is charging three dollars just to obtain a plastic card, to which we add money to wash our clothes. Where I work in Manhattan, we charge the public 30 CENTS for a similar card. If this isn't a ripoff, then I don't know what is.

The card is supposed to be free. Ask at the front desk about that.

Yes... but every apartment gets a free one from the front desk. Don't lose it and total cost = $0 which is better than $.30.

I really like the new system. Clean, to the point, easy.

LOL, look what I started. If all there is to complain about are a $6 key and $3 card - both of which will improve of our lives here - then life must be pretty good at Citylights.

I can't believe they have the gaul to charge us $.75 for a soda in the Laundry Room... must be paying for "Jake's" second home.
