The Pool

Who distributes the money in the pool? If you give a check who actually cashes it and how do we know if all the money was indeed distributed?

Not for anything....100 bucks is a lot of money coming from one person....at least for the average person. The chinese delivery guy jumps for joy even with a 1 dollar tip........these maintenance should have nothing to say but "Thank You".

You give the delivery guy a dollar tip and he jumps for joy? Hmmm... I doubt it. Most people give more. I gave the 4 doorman 50 each last year. I gave it in 4 x-mas cards to Rob. He seemed nice, shook my hand. The other guys didn't acknowlege it. That's OK, there are a lot of people in this building. I don't see the tip as a bribe for better service, just a thank you. I know I wouldn't be able to smile and be pleasant to hundreds of people everyday, over and over again. Lets give them a break and try not to read there minds, you can't really know what they are thinking unless you ask. Also, the year before I gave them each a bottle of liquor and they all acknowledegd the gift. It may just be a matter of remembering and the gift is what made them remember. Who knows.

Happy Holidays

Penny,

How much would you recommend? And, do you give tips outside of the pool?
