Was I dreaming this morning, or did I really hear

It's taking them a long time to build the foundation, which does not seem that sound, with all that wood going in. It almost looks like they are building a foundation for a house, not a building.

That new Trump building looks ominous like NYC version of the Death Star - I like it. I see the lights on the lower floors, so I guess rich folk are starting to move in.

The wood is not the foundation. The wood is the formwork for the cast-in-place concrete. If you walk around to the 50th Avenue side of the Riverview, you can see places where the concrete has already cured and the formwork has been removed. They did almost the exact same thing for the Trump World Tower. In fact, Bovis was pumping concrete for the Riverview this morning.

The foundation is already complete, for the most part, if they are building up now. After the first few levels, they will be building approximately one level per week. My guess is that they will top-out the building in late Summer or early Autumn, probably late Summer.

Is the Riverview building really going to be only 32 floors?
Will the design bring it to 35 or 36 floors?

Basically, what I'm asking is which floors on Citylights
do you think will keep their view of South NYC?
