The past few days I have noticed workers going in and out of the empty retail space on the ground level on 48th Ave, towards the west side of the building.  Does anyone know whats going on in there?  I haven't heard anything about the space being rented out.  Would it be too much to hope for a deli or coffee shop?????????

They are expanding the elementary school into the old retail space.

It is going to be a new science wing from what I hear.

Just two new classrooms and a room for visiting parents which is currently upstairs. The freed space upstairs will be converted to a science lab.
