Loud Noise Late at Night
Up to Citylights Discussion
Perhaps the period of silence means they have been working on the Manhattan side until last night, and have done absolutely nothing to quiet down the fans at this end. I think it's time to alert Dave in Eric Gioia's office and let him know that the monster has once again raised its ugly head to roar at us in the "wee small hours". I actually didn't hear it last night, because I was running my air conditioner, but I will email Dave again for the sake of folks who are being affected and I urge everyone to do the same.
Going now at 2:48 am
is there any updates about this? having gone from 1-2 nights a week for an hour or 2 to EVERY night for several hours is there any news on how much longer this is going to last? It is unbearable and even with windows closed is the equivalent to a low flying plane at best. are the mta paying any penalties for noise pollution/quality of life violations here? i wonder how long it would go on if their executives had to live here. i really need to get some sleep and with the weekend tourists and their blaring car stereos, car alarms and screeching tires it doesn't really happen then either. Manhattan is suddenly looking very attractive again.
