Garbage/Roach problem
Up to Citylights Discussion
All,
So once again the filthy slobs on my floor just leave their disgusting used baby diaper/old food HUGE garbage bags on the garbage chute room for hours on end...they don't bring it downstairs , they don't call anyone and now we have roaches yet again.
So my question is this, am I being a jerk or our the pigs in #3D violating Citylights co-op rules by leaving their filth in the chute room to attract vermin?
Oh, BTW, talked to management and they can't do anything about it...they're trying to 'document' which apartments it's coming from. Meanwhile, I have roaches dropping from the ceiling, walking on the hallways and scaring my relatives who visit.
Thanks 3D...we all love the smell of your used diapers in the hallway.

That Stinks!!! Literally. I would go nuts with that. People can be so disrespectful. Not sure what you can do about it if Mgmt says they can't do anything, but since it doesn't seem like you are too neighborly with the people in 3D and if I were you, everytime I saw it, I would take it out of the compactor room and put it in front of their door every time. Now, for the short term, it will cause a stink in the hall, but maybe if you get your other neighbors support, it will stop when they get the idea that everytime they leave it there, it will come right back in front of them. Or the more diplomatic approach would be just to have a 'hall' meeting to discuss. I am sure you are not alone in your disgust with these people.
That is just unbelievable and I don't accept "management" saying they can't do anything about it. If they can't, the board can. If the board can't we need to get a new board.
What the residents of Citylights need to understand is that as these new buildings with wonderful amenities go up if we don't keep our building a wonderful (CLEAN) place to live, our values go down.
Board members (since I know 4 of you read this website, but don't post) please write a harsh letter to this resident and fix this problem. To fight for years not to have a commercial resident who served food because of the roaches but let this go unstopped is just ludicrous.
BTW: It is my understanding the Kyle also has pictures of this as evidence which have been submitted.

I think that is a great idea. I know it is gross, but get some rubber gloves and move the trash back to their doorstep. I will also put a note in the suggestion box in the mailroom telling the mgmt. and the board to do something about this. I don't think anyone in this building wants a roach problem. Also our building staff aren't garbage men. Have a little respect for your neighbors 3D... Don't worry Kyle we'll help you...
