Free Long Island City Walking Tour
Meet in the park at Vernon Blvd, between 50th and 51st Avenues. #7 Vernon/Jackson subway entrance is on the corner. We will cover the historic district from Vernon Blvd at 48th Avenue (ex-Long Island Railroad crossing) to the Newtown Creek waterfront (ex-Vernon Avenue Bridge). View the locations of past bridges and trolley terminals. Learn about the vast transportation network above and below ground. Be prepared for a bit of a climb as we ascend the Pulaski Bridge stairway to access the walkway. Tour will be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.
